I just wanted to write to let you know our success with the Edublox program.

I am a mother of twin boys Cole and Max (I’ve changed their names to protect their identities). When my children were old enough to go to kindergarten Cole started to learn to read, while Max tried to learn but was definitely struggling. As they went on to 1st grade the same thing was happening. In the school we went to Max was able to get some help with “reading recovery” a program offered by the district. By second grade however the help from the school stopped and when Max came home to say the he was called stupid by the other kids we knew we needed to do something. At that point we got a tutor for him to go to two times a week to help with reading. It helped some, but it seemed his progress was related to his chronological age rather than any great strides academically.

We had him tested by the school district and they concluded that he was working within his ability. Therefore he didn’t need help, even though by this time he was in the fourth grade and reading at 1st grade level. By this time he knew that he was different from everyone else and that he couldn’t read very well. I started searching the web for some glimmer of hope. We continued to have him go to the tutor.

Then, during the summer between his fourth and fifth grade I found your program on the web and ordered it. We started it and religiously continued every morning for 18 months. By the time he started school that Fall he was already showing signs of improvement. I knew the program was working the day we were driving down the road and all of a sudden my son started reading the signs on the road and on the businesses. My other son Cole had done that in Kindergarten when he was learning to read, but Max never did. I was so excited because I knew that he was making the connections. We continued working with the program and Max continued to improve. When we stopped using the program Max was halfway through 6th grade. At that point he was reading at his grade level.

Now my son is a Freshman in High School. We just received his first semester report card and I am so excited to say that he received an “A” in both English and Math. I can’t thank you enough for developing a program that truly stands up to your promises and offers hope to those who struggle.

Sincerely,
