Not celebrities. Real families. Real progress.
Most media success stories spotlight famous people who thrived despite a diagnosis. Ours are different. These are ordinary students who have overcome — or are actively overcoming — the symptoms of learning disabilities through targeted instruction, cognitive training, and consistency.
Overcoming the symptoms of learning disabilities
Reading, writing, and math are the engines of school — and later, adult independence. Without them, managing money, pursuing a career, and living confidently become harder than they should be.
Learning disabilities (LD) is an umbrella term for specific learning disorders such as reading disabilities (commonly called dyslexia), writing disabilities (dysgraphia), and math disabilities (dyscalculia).

- Children with reading disabilities often struggle with accurate word recognition, fluent reading, and comprehension.
- Children with writing disabilities may struggle with letter formation, spelling, and composition.
- Children with math disabilities can experience persistent, sometimes severe difficulties with number sense, procedures, and problem solving.
.
ADHD is not a learning disability per se, but its symptoms can overlap with LD, and co-occurrence is common.
The hopeful part? With the right instruction, cognitive training, and consistent practice, many LD symptoms can be significantly reduced. Below are 19 real-world success stories from Edublox students and their families.
