Fun with Paper Dolls!

Paper dolls are as old as paper, maybe hundreds of years or even thousands of years, if some estimates are true.

The largest American paper doll manufacturer, McLoughlin Brothers, was founded in the early 1800s and was sold to Milton Bradley in the 1920s. Around this time, paper dolls became popular in the U.S. and their popularity continued to grow over the next decades. A Paperdoll Convention is held every year in the U.S., with hundreds of participants.
